Advanced Veterinary Medical Center is urgently hiring an experienced Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing team.

Our fast-paced, multi-doctor practice is open 7 days a week and offers wellness and preventative care, urgent care, digital full-body and dental radiography, dentistry, in-house diagnostics, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, and more. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate individual who thrives in a high-energy environment and is passionate about client communication and patient care.

This is a evening shift position till 11pm, and weekend availability is required.

Position Overview:
Veterinary Receptionists play a vital role in the daily operations of our hospital. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will help create a welcoming and supportive experience while coordinating appointments, managing phone communication, maintaining medical records, and assisting the medical team as needed.

This is a mid-level position, and previous veterinary experience is required.

Responsibilities:
  •  Greet clients and patients professionally and compassionately.
  •  Answer and manage high-volume, multi-line phone systems.
  •  Schedule appointments efficiently and accurately.
  •  Room patients according to the hospital schedule.
  •  Obtain and communicate accurate patient histories.
  •  Triage client concerns and recognize urgent versus non-urgent cases.
  •  Educate clients regarding treatments, procedures, vaccinations, and preventative care.
  •  Maintain accurate medical records and patient confidentiality.
  •  Process paperwork and update computer records promptly.
  •  Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness in reception and exam areas.
  •  Assist in maintaining hospital sanitation and organization.
  •  Support the veterinary team with daily hospital operations as needed.

  •  Maintain professionalism and compassionate communication with clients, patients, and coworkers.
  •  Exhibit a positive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented attitude.
  •  Work efficiently and calmly in high-stress situations, including emergencies and euthanasia appointments.
  •  Uphold hospital sanitation, safety, and standard operating procedures.
  •  Demonstrate strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  •  Escalate concerns professionally to management when appropriate.
  •  Comfortable using multiple digital platforms including Windows, Gmail, Google Drive, and veterinary software systems.

Qualifications:
  •  High school diploma or GED required.
  •  Previous veterinary reception or veterinary hospital experience highly preferred.
  •  Experience with IDEXX Neo software strongly preferred.
  •  Strong communication and customer service skills.
  •  Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  •  Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  •  Compassionate, reliable, and eager to learn.
  •  Ability to work weekends required.
